Golden 1 Credit Union Named in Forbes’ Best Midsize Employers 2025

First national employer honor by Forbes for Credit Union

Golden 1 Credit Union (Golden 1) is proud to announce it has been named to Forbes’ America’s Best Midsize Employers of 2025 list. This prestigious award highlights Golden 1’s excellence in fostering a workplace that nurtures talent, uplifts employees, and encourages innovation.

The rankings are based on surveys from a vast sample of over 217,000 U.S. employees working for companies employing at least 1,000 people. Over 6.5 million employer evaluations were considered. Participants responded anonymously to a range of questions, including salary, work environment, training programs, and opportunities for professional growth and advancement. The final score was based on two types of evaluations: personal (those given by employees themselves) and public (those given by friends and family members of employees, or members of the public who work in the same industry), with a much higher weighting for personal evaluations.

Golden 1 has previously been named five times as one of Forbes’ America's Best-In-State Employers. The inclusion in this year’s America’s Best Midsize Employers list marks the Credit Union’s first national overall employer accolade from the publication. In total, 498 midsize companies were recognized by Forbes. Golden 1 was also proudly awarded Forbes’ America's Best Employers for Women and America’s Best-In-State Credit Unions in 2024.
